Well, since I sortof started this thread, and if a person is not interested in offering their dog at stud, why would that same person DNA their dog to be free of the long-coat gene ??? Announcing your dog is free of the long-coat gene would be of interest to people looking to breed their bitch - certainly not as important as OFA hips & elbows; but . . . why even test for this gene ??? And, I'm sorry you took such offense to mine & everyones' comments about pedigrees - actually, I hadn't even noticed your "inside back cover" ad until you started sputtering.
