received my review today and you all were SO right - what a BEAUTIFUL cover.
that review cover brought back so many memories. for those of you who
remember Von Saar's Headliner, he worked at the Motion Picture Country Home
and
Hospital for a number of years and was the first canine ever to have his own
I.D.
card there. Liner was never trained to be a therapy dog - he just took to it
immediately and loved his job. he gave so many elderly people joy, brought
back very REAL memories for the Alzheimers patients and was a special friend to
a 28 year old quadraplegic. Liner never stepped on a line, never tugged on an
arthritic hand, never brought about any negative reaction whatsoever. This
beautiful boy sired the # specialty GSD in 1991 but he, himself, hated the
showring. He knew what his calling was and that gentle giant gave himself
totally
to the people at Motion Picture. Liner has been gone for a decade now but I
will never forget the joy of working with him. thank you, helen, for allowing
us to share the last 5 years of his life.
