What Christine said. I have NEVER understood the throngs of "breeders", some in the sport for a very long time, who take their dogs to a handler to "evaluate" Really????? If you can't make good choices from the whelping box, if you can't evaluate a dog...what the h*ll are you doing breeding a litter? Now, I like to think I get along with handlers and I say things like "I'm excited about so-and-so", or "this one needs a few months yet", but the words "do you think he/she is good enough?" have never come out of my mouth.
