I agree Diane nice post, I agree that the standard should not be changed
especially to improve the bottom line. Second I have had financial concerns
over hosting a big extravaganza world trial from the beginning. In my opinion
the club should have never took this on, since we were already in a financial
crisis. My feeling is that this will either make us or break us, lets hope its
not the later. I don't mean to sound pessimistic but realistically if the
bottom line is shakey you don't go and put on a big gala that costs over and
above what the club has, in hopes of getting sponsors. That is gambling big
time that the sponsors will come through. Lets hope that they do and the club
doesn't go under.
No one knows but the board where we are financially with the world trials etc.
its to late to back out now but cutting cost should be looked into big time.
Its nice to to be able to grandstand if you have the resources but if you don't
it should have never been an option.

ear. Yet, no one seems to want to answer the question as to how we got
ere, why we are more concerned about making money than fulfilling the GSDCAâ
mission statement. WHERE IS/WAS THE FIDUCIARY RESPONSIBILITY OF THOSE

future. Our club has thrown good money after bad into this event and now the
OD wants the members to bail them out by helping them raise funds by
estroying our standard?
remember the Diamond Jubilee in 1988 at the National in Houston. It was
ONDERFUL, all about the dogs. The venue was great, there were free
eminars for every area of interest, nice but inexpensive touches were added,
little âdiamondâ chips on free pens given out with catalogues, etc.), and
we
knew we were attending an event that truly showcased the clubâs pride in
he GSD.
eâve already seen the Peopleâs Choice, Golden Globes, Producerâs Guild
nd Screen Actors/AFTRA award shows ⦠the Oscars are still to come. This BOD
needs to realize we arenât Hollywood and tone things down NOW to as an
cceptable a level as they can, not run our breed into the dirt because they
