Is there anyone on the Board that has read and comprehends the Standard?
Coats are not a disqualifying fault. A separate class is not needed for them
since they can be entered in any class currently offered. By the standard,
whites are a disqualifying fault and if the Board wants a class for them,
they need to change the standard. Why is this so difficult to understand and
adhere to?

You got it Diane. Now, if we could get our board to agree and conform.
Not sure if most heard, but a committee has been formed by the board today
to look into and work towards getting rid of the long coat as a
fault.....and further to that the keep the class at nationals and have
every specialty
club conform to the same.
Added to that committee - removing the DQ on whites and the whole white
GSD issue.
John did not renew his membership this year because as a judge who embraces
the standard and tries to adhere to it, he is fed up with a board of
mostly judges who don't seem to want to do that. So he is now out of the
game
after decades in this breed. This is not the garden path he wanted to
chose......
