evan - even i can subtract 2 from 3 and come up with 1. if, as you have
agreed, the nominating chair did NOT make an error, then only 2 of the 3
did! and, to be honest, it doesn't really matter and fingers should not be
pointed - the error was made - it is being rectified. perhaps there is
another reason you have posted this in the way you did?

It sounds like what a board member told me, was correct. Three people made
a mistake. It is not a big deal, other than what it costs our club.
Another board member wrote me to tell me I was wrong. I responded as to
how.
From this post it looks like the information I got was right, except the
chair of the nominating committee does not check who should be on the
slate.
Maybe we could assign someone to do that in the future.
We shouldn't worry about blame, but we should take note, and try to avoid
it in the future.
