Sometimes, I am surprised that the opinion of some folks is that there
is a plethora of breeders out there that could give a Rats Ass about the
longevity of our beloved breed.
Most of those that I have met in the breed who have been breeders for
many years, are concerned about the total dog. There are a few, as
Sheila says, short cutters who are just in it to win it
I would say very few. None the less they are out there.
If your paying attention I don't think its that difficult to avoid the
"short cutters"
Right now I'm observing the machine like effort with interest to build
the reputation of another young male out there who has already reliably
rumored to have had several disastrous litters....
Of course, as they say, it takes two to tango
