CLO is often confuse cold water Fish body oil .
Fish oil contains EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic
acid).
These are the important Omega oils so necessary and missing from the diet
since our dogs no longer feast on meat from grass fed ungulates.
Feedlot raised meat is almost deviod of Omegas.
We feed fish 2 caps of body oil 2 to 3 times a week unless they need more
.
Walmart ( and others) sells a good Cold Water Salmon Oil in capsule form at
the vitamin aisle.
Does not take long to teach the dogs to eat them as treats. ( poke a hole and
squeeze a little out so they can taste what is inside the gel cap)
OTOH ..... Cod Liver Oil is a potent source of vitamin A and D which can
reach toxic levels easily ,especially if it is already in the food. side
effects are bad including stroke like effects.
