Did you have donations made directly to your club or were they made to the
GSDCA?
If a hosting club is going to survive a Fut Mat weekend then they will need
to ask for donations to their club not checks made payable to the GSDCA. Keep
the donations to the hosting club. The PC will get their 40 percent from the
entries.Purina is donating the trophies. The local hosting club is paying all
the judges expenses. No travel, no hotel, no nothing is being paid for by the
parent club. Why would I want to fly a judge into a Fut Mat when I am going to
have to eat the cost? Why would I pay 150.00 park rental for the extra day?
Why would I ever put the GSDC of Oregon in a position to loose 850.00 ??? Why
would the parent club endanger the regional clubs in this manner? We are lucky
we can afford it but my guess is that the support of the Fut Mat system is not
that great right now.

We put our first back to back agility trials on this year and made a profit
of 3400.00 We put on a TC and herding clinic and bring in 1100.00 We host a Fut
Mat and loose 850.00 WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE???????

The PC didn't take anything but their split of 40%.
They DIDN't take a cut of our trophy donations for our region I know that for a
fact we got every dime. I would double check because i don't think they took
anything from anyone on trophies and if there was a mistake talk to Nancy she
is a sweetheart to work with.
I thank all the good people and clubs that donated and allowed us to put their
money to good use...............it was extremely generous and we tried our
hardest to put on a first class event weekend in all their names..........
We put on a beautiful pool party with all the pizza desserts and beer and wine
and sodas anyone could want. We used it towards our weekends expenses and
trophies.
We had a beautiful manicured ring the handlers wanted to show barefoot. We put
up a handlers tent with drinks, fruit, gatorade, wipes Noxema wipes to cool off
with. Dog biscuits.
I feel the PC and sponsors were very good to us and the only thing they need to
address is the over exhorbant costs of Rau and do we really need them ? I would
loved to have done the work and had that $950 sitting in out clubs treasury
right now. Amy

I was told by a person in another region that Rau takes 950.00 per show. I have
heard that before but thought it could not be. I heard from another person who
is afraid to tell their club members just how much they lost. I am so very
disappointed that we were not told this up front before we hosted the Fut Mat.
It seems the more the parent club gets the more they want these days. They no
longer pay for the judge's expense. You do not get all of your trophy donations
back they split those between the clubs. My advise on trophy donations at this
point is to have people donate directly to the regional club as you are not
going to get your money back And Purina is paying for them anyway. IT LOOKS
LIKE THE PC HAS FOUND A WAY TO KILL OFF WHAT WAS LEFT OF THE FUT MAT SYSTEM.

Please hosting clubs get it in writing before you get involved

So how does someone call for an audit of the Parent Club books.

I am curious? How did you have so much expenses ? Our SE futurity was only.
about $250.00 in expenses plus we got to keep all the trophy money we raised
to help us.
We had one of the smallest futurities as well and we feel we did pretty good
all things considering. I am gung- ho to try and host another
futurity....................
I am shocked that you lost $850.00. And really sorry for your club at the
same time...........
