Holly, I had the same problem with my almost 12 years old Ch Abba Dabba Do. I
went down one morning and she looked bloated, so I rushed her to the vet. We
then noticed bloody yuck coming out of her and she was spayed ($425), because
it was a pyro. I put her on a sheepskin material bed and she ate 12 x 8 inches
out of it. I was so mad at her, because I'm thinking all you have been though
and now you are going to die from a blockage. She was fine and back acting like
a bad puppy in a couple days. I am spaying all my bitches now as soon as they
reach 7 or 8.

Well after treating my bitch for a bladder infections since I last talked to
you we just spayed her today for pyrometria. It was a big decsion. She is 9
years old and was sick for last month . She had been drinking loads of water
and peeing herself. I thought the pred may have started it. I asked about
pyrometria at the beginning but at the beginning of a season isnt usual for it
I guess. About the only thing she would eat was cookies.. Some days she would
maybe eat a wiener but then nothing the next day. sniff and look like food
nauseated her. The big decsion was when they gave me the estimate. 940-1350..
Not a regular spay anymore. But we did it. Wasnt ready to let her go yet and
everything seems to have gone well. Will pick her up tomorrow. The uterus
weighed 1.5 kg and was full of cysts and pus in the horns. Thanks for the all
