I FULLY AGREE!!
I would not be coming in early under those circumstances to watch my dog be
crated two extra days for no
real reason. The Educational format should be the FIRST day for those
interested in attending.
Almost all of us come to show or see the dogs. When that gets sidelined
with location, schedules, other
venues, attendance will drop even more.
Bringing our Futurity / Maturity winners TO the National IS one of the big
reasons for coming for many of us,
and one of the reasons we support the Futurities.

I agree, people will come in later, and just come to enjoy the show.
I personally and considering skipping the National this year. It is hard to
get off work, and frankly, there is now so much "down time" that it seems to
me the club is filling in, so as to spend time on a longer National.
The idea of having an extra day that will be sparingly attended, does not
appeal to me.
But, no many agree with me, on much of anything.

Have heard that the Fut/Mat finals may be moved to Tuesday after the
regional show which will leave ALL DAY Wednesday for
educational programs. Puppy classes would be moved from Wed to Thursday. The

So, unless you are wanting to get involved in the educational programs,
there would be a full down day in the middle of the week.
Personally, I think there would be fewer show up to support the
futurity/maturity program. Many would end up not coming in until
Wed night which would cut some revenue down for the hotels and area.
Thoughts? Me, am not for this and may shoot a quick message off to the board
prior to the meeting.
