Hi Louie:
My experience with progesterone testing and frozen implants is we keep doing
progesterone testing until the number is in the high teens.? It is possible she
really didn't ovulate the first time, and is having a split season.? You would
have needed at least one more progesterone test to be sure she kept rising past
10.??
I would be interested in hearing what your repro vet has to say.

Need some of the great knowledge from the list. One of my Champion bitches is
having weird seasons. Her seasons have been normal until 7 or so months ago.
she
came in season (normal season) went out for 4 or 5 days and came back in season
again normal season. Didn't think much about it and just thought it was a
freaky
season. 7 months later she comes in season and we are going to breed her using
frozen sperm (normal season)we thought. progesterone 1.8 then 5.3 then 10. ? (I
forgot) the Vet. then did surgical implant which from the first day I saw blood
to implant was 22 days. 4 or 5 days later she comes in season again, today
smear
was done and progesterone taken and is @ 5.6. A blood sample was sent to lab
last week to A&M and waiting results. Doing another progesterone test tomorrow.
Vet (reproduction specialist) best in this part of the country be back in town
Monday. Not sure what is going on yet. Any one ever came across this situation
or have any comments. Thank you. Th
