I have a 9 year old bitch that has a pancreas infection. She spent 6
days in the hospital. She always had allergies to certain foods and I
know pretty much what they are. I don't know if that would have
anything to do with it. The vet said a change in diet, but she has not
had one for over a year when I changed the dry meal she was on. She did
start eating fecal matter about 2 weeks ago - thought that was more of a
symptom then a cause. She thinks she is starving to death and has gone
outside to eat more when I wasn't paying attention:-(. <I have some
acreage so no I don't get to pick it ALL up> She does get people food,
but that hasn't changed since she was born;) And since it is my people
food - that really hasn't changed either. She is on a strict
low-residue intestinal formula for two weeks now that she is home.

Any other things that could have caused this? What else could I do to
make sure it doesn't come back after the two weeks?

Thanks in advance for the help. And Happy New Year!

Alycia
