Lori, forgive me but you need a new vet.
And why would you "have" to breed her again???? and/or on her next
cycle????
I understand your bitch had an infection and I see what the vet gave her
(not sure I would have gone that way, might have just given pit to make SURE
there wasn't anything else in there coupled w/ antibiotics)....but I don't
see why you'd have to breed her the next cycle or for that matter again.
If I was dealing w/ a bitch of mine who had uterine inertia w/ a prior
litter, IF I was going to breed her again I'd schedule a c-section. Also I
keep amoxycillin on hand and after a difficult deliver, puppy stuck etc., I
routinely start w/ a double dose of amoxy for 72 hours then drop the dose
down to normal for the balance of 10 days. That doesn't hurt the puppies.
And yes, with my vet's blessing. JMHO
