[ SHOWGSD-L ] Re: oversized males

In August I got a chance to watch my big, black dog see his first sheep. What
a site to behold. Those who have seen him know that there is a reason I call
him my "big, black dog." I also got to watch Cowboy, Carolyn and Frank's BIG
male work sheep. They are both large dogs, perhaps oversized, but Cowboy was
breathtaking in how he handled the sheep. He is also no slouch in the show
ring. My Rachel was a 22: female and I was often told she was too small. It
is nice to know that there were large dogs to compensate for lack of height.
Size does not always matter.
