Standard Manchester Terrier here. Great with the shepherds we have had and
no hair or shedding. Long lived, healthy and smart just don't let him off
his lead despite 3 solid years of obedience training. If he thinks he is
working he is great but the instant he thinks that he is just going for a
walk he is gone. I tried to leave him in a run one day. Went to the store
and came back 20 minutes later and he had dug his way out and gone down to
the neighbours. Love the breed and will get another one in the next year or
two as Percy is 10 this year. His breeder told us that we were making a
15-20 year commitment, fine with me just wish shepherds would go that long,
whenever I lose one they take a piece of my heart although after the time
Percy has been in our lives I am sure that he will take a huge piece of my
heart.
