[ SHOWGSD-L ] old boy vomiting

I have a ten year old GSD who started vomiting Friday night. He had thrown=
up all over the kitchen when I came in late that night. I tried everythin=
g I could think of to get this to stop and called the vet early Saturday mo=
rning. He was swamped so told me to give him Pepto, to withhold food and w=
ater for 24 hours, all of which I have done. He is still vomiting, even th=
rows up the Pepto. He was on antibiotics for a week prior to having surger=
y done on his foot, which is scheduled for Tuesday. I think the antibiotic=
s caused his stomach problems, but want to know if there is anything I can =
do until I get him to my vet on Monday morning. He has not had any water, =
but keeps heaving and throwing up what little moisture he has in him. He i=
s not bloating--first thing I thought of--but poor guy is really not feelin=
g well at all. He has always been a healthy dog until he got this sore on =
his foot which I have been doctoring for weeks, and which will not heal. V=
et told me to have the toe amputated, and that is what we were planning on =
doing Tuesday. In the meantime, is there anything besides the Pepto, which=
he also throws up, that I can give him to settle his stomach down?
