I have a Juice daughter (Sunny) who is fast approaching 13 (March 9th). Just in the last year she has lost strength in her rear end. She still gets around pretty well though. She doesn't hear well, and she probably doesn't see as well as she used to -- but make no mistake, she is still tough. She can intimidate other dogs without even getting up, which is a really good deal for her b/c getting up takes a more effort and time than she would like. She is really smart and still playful. Other dogs know to stay out of her way when she gets the hoo-haws. lol Her daughter (Billie) is 10 and still strong as an ox, and very active. A littermate (Tipper) to Billie died at 4 with mesenteric root torsion, so take it for what it's worth.
