Actually, since the bird is getting some kind of sustenance from the
shingles, I'd suspect you have bugs of some kind there...maybe you need
an exterminator!
you could try feeding him (peanuts, whatever) but I suspect that
wouldn't deter him.......but trust me, he's finding something there or
he would have quit after a few days. Maybe you have termites!
