I consider the term "Dual Titled" to mean titled in 2 venues, Conformation and
Obedience, for example. Thus the GSDCA Dual Title Award Plaque.

I consider a Dual Champion to have earned 2 separate CHAMPIONSHIPS under 2
separate registries, i.e. AKC and CKC or in 2 separate venues, i.e. Herding
Champion and Conformation Champion. CHAMPION is the key word here. I see too
many people say that their dogs are Dual Champions when they are actually Dual
Titled.

Yes, I know that the AKC says, "Dual Champion: Any dog that has been awarded
the title of Champion of Record (Ch.) may be designated as a "Dual Champion,"
after it has also been awarded the title of Field Champion (FC) or Herding
Champion (HC)," but, the Dog world, IMHO, doesn't just revolve around the AKC.

I consider Harley, for an example, to be a Triple Champion (AKC, IABCA, & CKC).
BTW, I would love to add a Mexican Championship and a Puerto Rican
Championship and a Bermudan Championship. Then I would call him a Sextuple
Champion!! I knew a couple of Great Danes who achieved that, but, never heard
of any GSD's who did.

Where, oh where, is that Fountain of Youth I heard about?? ¿Dónde está? Ponce.

Norma - "Dual Champion" is a dog who has a championship in 2 venues - like
breed and herding or breed and OTCH or breed and MACH or any other combination
of 2 championships -
Do you really mean "Dual Champion" or do you mean "dual titled champion" which
would be a breed champion with additional titles in some other venue like what
the Dual Titled plaque is awarded for? It is a huge difference and a Dual
Champion class would be severely limited to a very few dogs in the country.

.....................3.I had an interesting discussion at a recent show and I
heard something I think we should consider. We should have a class at our
National for Dual Champions. They have this class at other breed nationals.
Instead of having classes for faults how about having them for virtues.
