[ SHOWGSD-L ] nutra nuggets question

I just bought 3 more bags of nutra nuggets yesterday. I opened the one up this 
morning and it has a VERY strong smell to it and the nuggets are very dark.  My 
question is to those who use it...have you noticed this change, is it safe to 
feed the dogs, and do the dogs still like the taste?
I did call the 800 number on the package and they said it was safe - they just 
put to much coating on a couple of batches, but I'm still a little concerned 
about  feeding  this to my dogs.  Has anyone else feed this "new" batch to 
their dogs?
