The morning after the meeting, Gary called to tell me I had not been
chosen.He said all had been notified except me at that point, so I see no
reason for the secrecy.

That was one of the main purposes to give a little time to the Corresponding
secretary to make the proper notifications. It is out of respect to all the
good people who were on the list of possible nominees. Noone should have to
learn via the list but in a respectful way, for even considering of giving
