This struck me as a tragic situation, but then I wondered, who has 27
puppies? It wasn't signed, but I agree that the danger in raw is one we can't
ignore.
Our current food supply is suspect, and more and more there are warnings
to be sure to cook it well, don't eat undercooked beef, etc.
In the years past, when wolves roamed America, the animals had not been
bred with hormones and anti-biotics. Today, our raw is not pure, and so
unless you raise your own, it must be suspect.
That does not mean Ed is wrong. He makes a good argument for feeding raw.
However, there probably is not just one issue involved.
And whoever had 27 puppies in one year, (and probably some who survived),
has my admiration. I sure hope he/she has kennel help.

Sorry, I lost 27 pups one year because of raw diet. Turned out the
food I was buying, "Kustom K9 Mix, was full of salmonella and colic. The
Washington State University found it for me. Suggested suing but the company
went out of business soon after this as I was not the only one losing puppies.
I think I will stick to kibble.
