Shared by Peggy As you might imagine, the Chester County SPCA is being swamped by phone calls and the media. I have the following update: There are 335 dogs, about half are Cavaliers. Some are as young as 2 weeks old. Mange is an issue and parvo is expected to be one. Many of the most at risk have been taken to two area veterinarians. Runs are overcrowded. Phamacutical companies are suppling some medicines. What They NEED Right Now: Crates and food and money. Transportation & foster homes possibly sometime next week - after the legal ownership issues are dealt with by the shelter and county officials. The shelter is a private not for profit and is not affiliated with HSUS. If you have crates and or food to donate, drop them off at the shelter - now. Chester County SPCA 1212 Phoenixville Pike West Chester, PA 19380 Donations should be mailed to that address ============================================================================ POST is Copyrighted 2006.
