[ SHOWGSD-L ] newbies/oldbies

As a follow-up to my previous rant, I forgot to ask a question. I have read a
number of posts that stated something along the lines of " we are a passionate,
opinionated group of people, but we come together...etc." Come together? I
guess that means that we come together for death and disease. but otherwise
remain apart. Question: Why is that?
