[ SHOWGSD-L ] new van, new crates

Today, I brought home my new Chrysler Town & Country van with the Stow N Go 
seats.  It is identical in size "inside" to my old Ford Windstar and I think 
all the other American-made vans, like Dodge Caravan, etc.  Ford doesn't make a 
Windstar anymore, thus the Chrysler.  This particular one came with remote 
starting, which is wonderful, since my 3-car garage is filled with other 
things, and my cars are always outside. 
So, of course, a new van means new crates, right ?  Did you know that the 
Wal-Mart (and my local pet store) 400 crates are now one inch wider and one 
inch taller.  Now, the one inch taller doesn't bother me, but the one inch 
wider means that I can no longer put a 400 and a 500 side-by side in the back 
of the van.  Fortunately, the catalogs still carry the old 400 size 36L x 25"W 
x 27"H.  The one I got at Wal-Mart (and my local pet store) is36 X 26 X 28, so 
I returned them and ordered some from the catalogs.

I just found this all interesting.  Now, can the airplanes that cannot 
accommodate crates bigger than 400's---can they accommodate this one-inch wider 
size ?  I don't know what the "new" size is for the 500's, cuz I have a million 
500 kennels, so I don't need to buy any at all.  (even a new one for my new van 
- LOL ! )  I hope Nancy Harper is reading this so she can tell us if the "new" 
sizes fit in the airplanes.
