I was asked by a friend of mine very active in rescue if I knew anything about

Subject: Disabled German Shepherds
Hello,
Our names are Joanne and Tammy, and we are the owners of two rescued German
Shepherds, born with rear leg abnormalities, which you can see in the attached
photographs. Over the past year, we have heard of more dogs with the same
abnormalities, possibly related to being infected with Neospora. We are very
interested in locating more German Shepherds with similar problems to our dogs,
both to provide support to owners and breeders and to gather information. We
want to see if we can find out more, in order to not only help our girls but to
help the veterinary community better understand this problem.
Both Spirit and BeBe have ?straight? back legs - Spirit is now 4 years old
and BeBe is 1 ½, both are doing well, leading normal lives. If you know of any
owners, breeders or rescues with German Shepherds having a similar condition,
we would love to hear from them via email or by joining the support group we
have set up (details below).
