[ SHOWGSD-L ] new blood

reading ed's and others' posts, i'll be the first to agree that the board
of this or any organization needs new
blood to keep the organization alive and moving forward with new ideas.
that being said, it makes me wonder ... this year, there were only 9
candidates for 7 positions, (including nancy), and now there will be 8
candidates for 7 positions. where are all the people who claim to want term
limits
- which we already have - and feel that new people should run for and be on
the BOD? if you REALLY feel that way, then RUN! no GSDCA member is
prevented from running by petition yet, every year, we have a small pool of
candidates and every year the same people complain about the "lifers."
please don't tell me that you don't run because you can't win - that's an
excuse, not a valid reason.
i can only speak for myself but i would love to cast my vote for someone
new who i feel would do a good job.
