My family is there too. We've seen a lot of hurricanes. My great-grandmother and her family lived in Galveston at the time of the 1900 storm. Not all survived. I think my aunt/uncle and my grandfather have gone as far as Dickinson, which is NOT far enough away in my opinion. Yeah it's better than being in Texas City, but it's not exactly higher ground!!
