[ SHOWGSD-L ] meeting President Bush today

Today , President Bush was in Newport ,R. I.
All Rhode Island families who had lost a family member due to Iraq war ,were
invited to have lunch and meet the President
We all had to have security checks
after lunch my sister, Donna Freeland-Coutu and myself and two other
families had a 30 minute private meeting with President Bush
He offered his sympathies to all of us, it was very emotional ,as we meet
him one at a time with an introduction as to who we were,and who we had lost in
the war.
He commented on the war and answered questions
We all had our pictures taken with him
It was an emotionally charged day,as yesterday was the second anniversary of
my nephew's death, and the President knew it, told my sister so,the tears
flowed from everyone
