Just to catch everyone up on my limping dog. He seemed to be getting worse so
back to the vet and a consultation with another who diagnosed Jackson with a
torn ligament. he went into surgery immediately and is now home sleeping if
off at my feet. Hopefully this will turn out well and I will have many more
years with him. Recovery will be interesting considering Jackson likes to come
in and visit but is not happy living in the house.
We did discuss restricting his activity (not hard to do when you are on 3 legs)
to see if it would heal on its own but decided against it due to his size(BIG
dog). The vet said he had success on smaller dogs with cage rest but felt it
would not work this time
