I got an International Championship Our German dog because I thought he was too
German looking to take to the Am. shows and finish easily. I just Love him and
couldn't stand to see him lose. I really enjoyed those shows and the idea of a
written critique. The problem those shows is they give IC cards to too many
unworthy dogs. If they toughened their standards those shows would really take
off. Jim

There are not many folks in this sport that I respect more than Syd...but I
disagree with her on the point of International Championships being
worthless...I know nothing about that venue...its not my interest at this
time...but I strongly believe that anything you do with your dog that you
enjoy and hopefully your dog does too is worthwhile!...I'd rather have an
Int'Ch that I campaigned myself than an AKC CH that never lived with
me...traveled with some handler 10 months out of the year and I never got to
see the dog..I am not faulting this , but I don't see the interaction of
owner/dog...I want to look into this Rally stuff too...all my dogs are
CHAMPIONS in my mind...because they belong to me...dogs do not give a damn
about titles and legs on obedience, all that stuff is human ego.....no title
is worthless If you enjoy doing it with your dog.....Ed Hill
