[ SHOWGSD-L ] kidney problems

 My tenant has a Golden Retriever who had a kidney problem when she was born. 
She is now almost 4 years old and has developed a more aggressive kidney 
problem. Their vet has her giving the dog 300 units of lactate ringers 2 times 
daily by IV. She has called and asked me if I had any ideas of what else might 
help her as well.
I have no idea, but thought that someone on this great list might have a 
suggestion that might add to her present meds.
