I picked LANDSEND in the 70s (before the clothing company with a similar name
became popular--although I most likely wouldn't win a fight with THAT company.)
I got the name from a couple places:
PORTRAIT OF JENNIE, an old black and white movie starring Jennifer Jones and
Joseph Cotten, had a lighthouse called LANDSEND LIGHT. Also, one of my
favorite (dead) poets, Weldon Kees, wrote a poem called Land's End.
In my mind's eye and in reality, Landsend Kennels is an isolated place where
dogs rule. There are forests, paths and all sorts of animals of nature.
Landsend: End of the land.
