[ SHOWGSD-L ] interesting developement in Florida

I personally will quit showing dog's and absolutely wont enter a show where
my address wont be in the catalog. What next? Leave out the names and
addresses and
Gee don't mention the breeder and leave off the Kennel names because someone
can go onto a search engine and find you. Maybe I'm missing something but I
should think we would want people to find us. As far as I'm concerned, they
can add my phone number as well.
I often get calls from people looking for a breed of dog I don't have . I go
to show catalogs nearest their area and give them names and addresses of
people with their breed. I have received calls from people that have got my
name
from someone with a show catalog. Hopefully we would all be sharp enough to
verbally handle AR people
but if they are persistent , File harassment charges. If that doesn't work,
load up the Smith and Wesson.
I once had a smart A_ _ animal control agent try to tell me , that she had
the right to come onto my property (as an investigating agent of the State) and
in my Kennel anytime she chose and deem any dog
dangerous and demand it be destroyed.
I let her know that unless there was a complaint about a dog in my care,
that even the LAW has to have a warrant to come in .
I ended up the heated conversation by saying. "If you ever step into my
Kennel,
I will blow your F_ _ _en head off".
Then I got her lisc. revoked by the State.
I guess what I'm really trying to say, is that we as American's have already
be striped of so many of our rights as it is. Prayer, Pledge of Allegiance,
Christmas etc.
So far we still have the right to raise and show dogs. They Don't have
the right to Harass us for doing it.
