I do lots of babies. The owners are just as much at the end of their ropes
when they call as older dog owners. I have people nearly crying cause they
can't take the peeing and pooping all over the house. Group classes do not
address house breaking. People are telling me their dog is abusing them, the
dog is 4 months, and they can't take a step for being bitten. That is not
covered in group.

I give owners the tools to communicate clearly and be a leader for life.
Group class comes after the owners have some tools to start with. There is
nothing more painful to a trainer than that first class with 15 out of control
dogs. If just one is not out of control, the trainer can breath a sigh of
relief and actually teach something.

Even puppies benifit from what I do. I cannot say that about all in home
trainers. But I can say that about what I do. I teach understanding of what
dogs say and I teach owner how to speak to their dogs. This make room for real
learning in a group class.

This is why in home matters. This is also what in home should be. Not the

I understand the dog.

Right. The point you are forgetting is that the original thread was about two
6 month old puppies a lady called me about. What I had mentioned was that I am
going to reinforce IN MY PUPPY PACKET that puppies get out to reputable classes
and strongly discourage the in home training racket. PUPPIES! BABIES!

I'm not talking about 8 year olds that terrify a spouse and have been allowed
to bite. I wouldn't feed the dog or the husband in that case, but that's me
and if you want to make a living attempting to make their world better, go for
it.
