I can't resist...I have to tell this story. I had people buy a nice quiet East
German/American cross from me about 5 years ago now. When she was three she
developed an inner ear infection. Their vet totally screwed up the diagnoses
(said it was viral), the infection spread and long story made short the dog
died. The people decided they were going to go all the way and buy one of them
big, fancy German import dogs. So, they found an importer who impressed them
with his schutzhund knowledge and even offered to throw in free puppy
schutzhund training (whatever that is). They paid $2000. for the dog. The best
part is; the last time I saw the dog he was in his owners late model pickup
truck, which was parked at the local grocery store. He was entertaining himself
by gleefully throwing large chunks of the seat around and ripping more away. I
guess all that puppy schutzhund training had taught him how to bite real well!
