My dogs,also,have large, roomy, covered runs that are located
where there is the best breeze and under loads of shade trees,but when
it gets really hot,I arrange for them to be brought in for a few hours
during the worst heat of the day. Also,a complete water change mid-way
through the day,so that it's always cool. When I get home,they come
inside for good. I am more cognizant of the care they get,than of my
own. Mainly,because they are like children and depend on us to look out
for them. It's hard fo me to fathom anyone watching a pet lying there in
distress,and not having the sense,or the caring, to get veterinary care
ASAP!!!!! My dogs are well cared- for and well-loved,but it tears
me up when I hear of the many cases(too many) where they are a mere
second,third,or "seldom" thought. They are at our "mercy" and if we
don't HAVE any,we have no business having them. Jean
