Are you outside kennels covered that they have lots of shade? If not,
shade cloth works great, and you can put it down the sunny sides.

Thanks for the suggestions so far. Yes. All my kennels have roofs on
them...with tarps rolled down the side about 1/3 way down.

Today I unhook the side tarp on the first kennel, (as they are all in a
row, except for Crystal Palace's kennel. It's about 3 feet away from the
front of the building, so she has shade almost all the time), and
pulled the tarp out and rolled it up about 1/2 way and made an awning
out of it. This way Dancer gets no sun inside his kennel (on the side)
and yet the air can still flow in. Then I decided to take the side
tarps off, all the kennels and hooked the main tarp of each kennel
together from one kennel to another, so there is no sunshine in between
the kennel runs now..making the sides of each kennel run shady... (like
a continuous roof across them all).

Anyway, now when I walk in between each kennel to fill up their water
buckets, which are hooked in the middle of their kennel runs, I'm now
standing in the shade. :-) A lot cooler for me and the dogs.

PS. Sorry if I ramble on. I'm in a hurry so I can't take time to think
things through before I write it. Got to go now to feed my dogs their
night meal and put them in the building. I hope the temp. has come down
a lot since the last time I looked. Jerry (13) has to go out with me
every time I go out back to take care of the dogs. He's my shadow.
Right now, as I'm typing this, he's laying on my bed with the fan on
him. Of course as soon as I leave my room, he'll follow :)
