If you travel to France and eating horsemeat would offend you, look over the
door sill of the restaurant as you enter. You will quickly become familiar
with an insignia that signifies horsemeat is served, and if so, don't order
stew or daily specials etc.
Unfortunately, I waited until my now ex had started his "special" before
telling him, and poor guy, it was all he could do NOT to spit on the crisp
white
table linens, lol. Believe me, he never would have know otherwise <G>.
IMO, our prosperity has allowed us to elevate certain species. I have
horses (show, hunter/jumper/ race) and yes, we made pets of them. You can
also
make a pet of a calf, a pig, a chicken and I'm told even a fish.
