[ SHOWGSD-L ] history question: von Falkenhorst kennel (CT, early-mid 1970's)

Hi Listers,
I'd like to take advantage of all the experience on the list and try
to satisfy my curiousity. When I was a kid, our second GSD was from
show lines. I believe the kennel was "von Falkenhorst", although it
could have been "vom" and I'm spelling the rest phonetically. She was
from the "W" litter, so they must have been breeding for a while. I
know the kennel was in Fairfield County, CT; I think it was along Rt. 7
in the Norwalk area. Does this ring any bells for anyone? Now that I
know more about GSDs, I'm curious about her lines. She was a beautiful
bitch, self-stacked any time she stopped moving, but dumber than a rock
and with increasingly bad irritable bowel syndrome.
My poor dad wanted a GSD so much -- 1st was from a BYB, wonderfully
obedient but with dysplastic hips; 2nd from show lines; 3rd from German
working lines, waaaay too energetic for our family. But I ended up with
some great memories, and the GSD desire!
