We have a generator which uses propane. It uses the propane from our
underground tank and will run all the electric stuff in the house, especially
ac and heat. It was installed when the house was built in 2006.
If the electric goes off for a minute or so, the generator kicks on and takes
over. It automatically shuts off when the power comes back on.

ho knew???? Still leaning gas or diesel....look at what happens to
ropane when the temps drop....there is a big part of my winter when the temps
re below 20....
don't know why my family is fussing over this...we did just fine w/ the
og show generator <G>.
didn't know gas was "stable" for up to 12 months...leaning towards a new
onda generator, storing a few gallons of extra gas in the separate 3 car
arage and maintaining the old generator for backup:)
