The money or scholarship is the incentive for the parents to get the handler to
the show :0)

That is the best reason to show, because not everyone can make a dog look
great, especially when they were not great dogs. I had that. I just loved it.
All the GSD's I showed through many years, but I finally have gotten 2 one
point wins with a Pharaoh Hound. I have given up on GSD's I have a bad back
and can no longer run with them. I am also possibly showing a finished Vizsla
for the owner, so they don't have to pay a pro. The breeder finished him, but
has stopped handling for herself now, thank G-d, she needed to get out of the
ring. But the owners are retired and do not want to pay a handler to special
the dog locally. I have offered. We will see.
I am addicted to shows and showing, but not to breeding GSD's or showing them
specifically.
