Lance had never seen a sheep before in his life either. We just sat in a
chair next to Dick Whalen receiving all the tips I would ever need to be
successful in the Herding Test. I can now remember some of the tips and
they were great, however, upon entering the arena I forgot them all. I
reckon that Lance was listening.

I agree that if it's at all possible,do the test...you will be
amazed and so proud when you see your dog's natural instinct take over.
My Dealer had never so much as seen a sheep....he went in the ring,did a
big double-take and proceeded to herd his heart out,like he'd been doing
this forever! He got high marks and a huge round of applause and I will
never forget the sight of him doing what they were born to do! It's an
