Cindy,
There are NO emergency vets around here. I did recieve a call from the vet
after over an hour and thankfully I had already given her the benedryl and
it is helping or I am sure she would have suffocated. She still kind of
sounds like a pug but the vet assured me that I did the right thing and he
feels that since she is having a positive result from the benedryl he does
not want to give her epi as it will stop or slow her labor dramatically and
its obvious we can't give her oxcytocin now. I just hope the 1 puppy we have
will be ok since she got chilled during all the excitement. Tula was the #1
priority at the time but I am warming the pup and she is nursing well now.
