Kris,
The "4 month rule" was established by AKC. It means that a handler cannot show
dogs under a judge that he has handled for unless 4 months has passed since
that handler showed the judges' dogs.

there is a 4 month rule and i believe it applies at the futurity
also...................
a handler which has handled for you in the last 4 months cannot exhibit
under you. If it has been longer than 4 months it's ok.

I know I am new to all this, but I have to ask one question and I'm not trying
to be a smart*** here. What does 4 months mean? Why was the rule for that
specific amount of time?
