I do not know where the PC site is hosted, but there are lots of large server
companies that have lots of backup and incredible reliability records. I doubt
if they are noticably more expensive than deals from smaller companies without
the redundancies. A site like the PC site should be on at least as reliable a
server as our local club's site. I know lighning would not keep our's down long.

servers and everything is redundant, they have generators, and are protected
against anything nature or anything else could bring on.
Instead he's chosen to go with one of his friend's small companies. This is

Since I have managed to remain neuteral through all the muck that has passed
around in the past few months, Bill Phiffer was willing to tell me when I
asked.
There was a huge hardware crash at the physical center where our PC site
is maintained. The business was hit by lighting, they think. They have had
massive hardware failure the likes of which we rarely see. The site will be
back up as soon as possible.
All involved are working hard to fix things.
We can only be patient. That is what Bill indicated to me. And I have no
reason to doubt him.
