It was me who posted what we were told about the distance to the Hilton, and
I hope you don't mean me regarding negativity and posts by know it alls. In
case there is any question, what I posted is what the Board was told at the
January Board meeting, and given your post, it is evident that we were given
wrong information. Unfortunately, we were meeting in Memphis at the time,
so had no way to actually go check.
Personally I am really glad to hear that the Hilton is not that far, and am
glad you went to the trouble to drive it yourself.
To set the record straight, I did not say what the distance was, since I
have no idea. What I did say was:"It was reported that it is 45 minutes
from the show site, while the Best Western is much closer, and that the
rooms at the Hilton are more expensive."
Since I was concerned that maybe I had misunderstood, I double-checked the
audio recording today. I found that I had made a bit of an error in my
original post - what we were told was that the Hilton was 40-45 minutes from
the show site.
I apologize for whatever issues the wrong information may have caused
anyone, and am glad our Colorado members have sorted matters out. It is
difficult to work with inaccurate information.
