The simple answer is 'No', you will not get bi-colors if you breed to a black
and tan dog
that does not carry the bi-color gene.
If you want bi-colors, you would have to breed to a dog that carries the gene,
or another
bi-color or a black dog.
Breeding to another bi-color (depending if the second gene is black or
bi-color) could
give you an all bi-color litter. If your bitch carries a black gene as her
second color, and
you breed to a black, you could get bi's and blacks. If she does not, you
would get all
bis when breeding to a black.
The black and tan gene is dominant to the bi-color gene which is dominant to
the black gene.
