The plaques up until 2004 definately were solid wood with the Metal cast GSD head on it that was designed by Gene Tenges. So that's how the saying "I got wood" came about. With the passing of Gene,the Board decided to change the plaque,which was designed by Mary Tripp,I believe, with her using particle board.
